Proteus crawlers feature Mini-Cam's unique patented wheel lock device. This makes it easy to adapt the crawler wheel type to suit the size and condition of the pipe. Using the supplied T Bar the changing wheels is quick and simple with no other tools required.  No more dealing with loose screws.  This simple design increases on-site productivity by reducing the time required to change wheels for specific conditions.  All Proteus Crawlers are supplied with Quick Change Wheel Locks as standard.

AUTOMATIC, MOTORIZED, OR MANUAL REELS MULTIPLE CABLE LENGTH OPTIONS

Proteus cable reels are available in automatic, motorized, or manual crank and are outfitted with high tensile strength Kevlar reinforced cable.  Motorized reels automatically feed or retract cable allowing for uninterrupted, tangle free pay-out and re-winding.  The motorized reel is controlled using dedicated keys on the Proteus control unit which also features an intuitive on-screen status display.

The manual crank reel is perfect for those looking for a more portable or cost-effective option.  Lighter and smaller than the motorized reel making it ideal for inspections in remote locations and fits perfectly with the Proteus portable cart option.

FUNCTIONALITY AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Proteus control units are available in VCU500 Desktop Keyboard Controller and the CCU208 Portable Control unit.  Both controllers feature twin integral joysticks for camera control and crawler maneuverability, and an ergonomic soft-touch keypad.  User friendly multi-function hot keys control an intuitive on-screen display, to enable quick and accurate navigation of the numerous features which all come standard on the brain of the Proteus system.

The control units have coms connections, dual BNC video connections allowing it to be paired with a rackmount or laptop computer for use with pipeline inspection software.

Proteus has an expanding range of high quality cameras includes our trusted Pan & Tilt CAM026 with 360 continuous rotation and 135 +/- pan and Pan & Tilt Zoom CAM028 for increased performance. Featuring high powered ultra-bright LED lighting and provide optimum illumination for better clarity of images.

Our team has over 30 years of experience outfitting vans for pipeline inspection. Our vehicles are first fitted with all necessary electrical wiring, then the internal walls are lined and partitioned into an office area where inspections are controlled and a rear workspace from where inspection equipment is deployed. Lights, sockets, storage compartments, shelves and a workstation are installed along with the hygienic hand cleansing system, safety equipment and accessories.

The rugged, weatherproof Outpost inspection transport enclosure powers, protects and organizes all your sewer inspection equipment, including crawler, cable reel, monitor and computer.
